We act with responsibility

As a manufacturing facility in the Bavarian Forest, we take ecological, regional, and social responsibility seriously and are continuously improving our processes. We are guided by regulated, externally audited management systems:

We are certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 (Quality), DIN EN ISO 14001 (Environment), DIN ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and DIN EN ISO 50001 (Energy). These certifications are regularly audited by independent, accredited bodies.

In addition, Schock is registered under EMAS (EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) and voluntarily participates in the Bavarian Environmental Pact, an agreement with the Free State of Bavaria.

We document our specific environmental metrics and measures in our verified environmental statement and in our sustainability report.

EMAS - OUR CERTIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Schock is registered under EMAS (EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) [Registration No.: DE-163-00060]. EMAS is an environmental management system governed by EU Regulation (EC) No. 1221/2009, whose environmental performance is audited annually by an independent, state-accredited environmental verifier.

Within this framework, we continuously monitor and improve our environmental performance—from production to the reuse of materials. The specific metrics and measures are documented in our verified environmental statement and are publicly available.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

56% renewable energies share. Continuous reduction of electricity consumption per sink since 2010 (currently at 45%).

MATERIAL EFFICIENCY

Raw material efficiency of 89%. Largely paperless organization.

WATER

55% water savings since 2007. 95% of water recycled.

WASTE

Recyclable packaging materials, over 95% of which can be separated by type. Low level of waste per sink (20% of product weight).

BIODIVERSITY

48% of our factory grounds consists of green space.

EMISSIONS

Noise emissions below the prescribed values. Emissions from factory exhaust air checked more often than required by law.
