Product recall of individual SCHOCK kitchen mixer taps from the ALTOS, CONOS, CONOS PRO and LAIOS product ranges.

SCHOCK, a manufacturer of high-quality sinks, mixer taps and accessories, is issuing a product recall of individual models of its mixer tap series SCHOCK ALTOS, CONOS, CONOS PRO and LAIOS. During quality tests, the germ Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected in individual products. The germ can cause health risks for individual users.

Important: Only products from the ALTOS, CONOS, CONOS PRO and LAIOS series manufactured between April and August 2025 are affected by the recall.

Other items of this model and other products in SCHOCK's range are not affected by the incident.

Important: Affected customers are asked to boil the water from the models mentioned until it is replaced and not to use it as drinking water under any circumstances. Please contact your dealer or kitchen studio immediately for a free replacement.

Safety and quality are top priorities at SCHOCK. We have therefore immediately initiated all necessary measures to recall the affected products as part of our quality assurance process. As the taps were mainly sold via specialist retailers, they will be informed separately and asked to inform their customers accordingly.

In individual models of the ALTOS, CONOS, CONOS PRO and LAIOS series, manufactured between April - August 2025, the germ Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected. This germ can cause health risks, which is why we are issuing a recall in order to replace affected taps.

As a business customer: You have already received our corresponding letter listing your potentially affected orders. Please verify by checking the hose label to determine the extent to which your fittings are actually affected. We are, of course, available for any further questions. If fittings have already been installed at the end customer’s site, we kindly ask you to inform your end customers accordingly and notify us as well, so that we can initiate the free replacement process.

As a private customer: Please boil the water from your affected faucet until it has been replaced and do not use the water as drinking water under any circumstances. After checking the article number and date of manufacture, contact your kitchen studio or dealer immediately. The replacement of an affected mixer tap is free of charge.

The relevant data (article number, month of manufacture 2025 2504-2508) can be found on the hose label of your fitting. This information will tell you whether the model is affected by the recall.

No, only the taps mentioned above that were produced between April and August 2025 are affected. All other products from the SCHOCK range are not affected.

We are working closely with the supplier and authorities, recalling all affected products and replacing them free of charge. Our established quality assurance ensures that no other products are affected, and the causes of this issue have already been addressed by the supplier.

We assume that a maximum of approximately 3,000 mixer taps are affected by the recall. We sell around 150,000 mixer taps from a range of around 250 products every year, mainly via retailers.

As part of quality inspections, the germ Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected in some products from the series mentioned, which were produced between April and August 2025.

We ask for your understanding that we cannot provide any medical information. If you drank water from one of the tap models mentioned, we recommend that you contact your doctor. Please boil the water from your affected tap and never use it as drinking water until it has been replaced.
