With our technologies and in excess of 90 patents, we want to do more than just keep on moving forward – we want to be two steps ahead all the time. This was true when we invented the quartz composite sink 35 years ago and it's true now, when 60% of the sinks made in the world are produced using SCHOCK methods.
In satisfying this need, when we're talking about technology we're talking about more than just innovative materials. We're talking about permanent research and development. About tools, all of which are made in-house and all of which are an expression of expertise and uniqueness. And about hand-made products and the heart and soul that we pour into them. We're talking about natural silica sands from Bavaria's soils. And about people who think bigger and go further than others do.
And we're talking not least about how we let not a single step in the process out of our hands – from the very first design concept and the testing and mixing of components and colourways to the process of mould construction, casting and finishing. Some people call that complex. We call it: hand-made in Germany.
Offering CRISTADUR®, CRISTALITE® PLUS and CRISTASTONE®, SCHOCK is the world's only quartz composite sink manufacturer in the world to carry three different materials in its range. Whether it's silky-smooth, stony or polished, each one of these surfaces is anything but surface deep. Because not only are all three of them made out of the best materials, regionally sourced, but everything lies in the hands of our experienced employees. And they always work with an eye for detail, a nose for trends and a heart for the exceptional. And it's how we set new standards.
WITH THE SCHOCK METHODS
SCHOCK sinks are up to 80% quartz, the hardest constituent of granite. CRISTADUR® and CRISTALITE® PLUS have been specially developed for the demands of the kitchen. The rigours of everyday use vanish with hardly a trace.
The dirt simply runs off.
Leaves the surface free of smells.
Not temperature sensitive.
Absolutely safe material.
Non-porous finish leaves no place for bacteria to thrive.
Tough and resistant material.
Food stains cannot stick.
Since the quartz composite sink was invented, SCHOCK materials have been continually refined and set new standards. The material's ultra-fine structure means dirt that could be a breeding ground for bacteria finds it impossible to stick to the surface.
Our most important innovators are not our 90 patents or our more than 200 sink models. They are Jeanette, Alois, Franz and all the other employees who explore and redefine the limits of possibility day after day at SCHOCK. It is their specific expertise that enables us to create the unique things we do. It is their vision that takes shape in the very tools we build ourselves.
What they create together as engineers, fitters, welders, designers and product developers is not just tools and casting moulds. It's statements. And instruments with which we thrill people and through which we stand out.
Did you know that it's the surface of the casting mould used to cast the CRISTADUR® sinks that makes them easier to clean than any other sink ever before? And that our tools, all developed in-house, are responsible for our sinks having a regular structure and even colouring?
Groundbreaking developments of this kind are and have always been a SCHOCK speciality. And they are part of the reason why we are the only manufacturer to refuse to let the responsibility for them out of our hands – and would never even think of letting it leave our four walls. This is actually the easiest way of guaranteeing that our high standards are kept. And of continuing to drive innovation by facilitating fast decisions, quick responses and unbridled pioneering spirit.
