Low pressure mixer taps for the SCHOCK sink

Before fitting your sink with a suitable mixer tap, you need to clarify where the hot water for the sink actually comes from. As a rule in Germany for example, the hot water is connected to the mains water supply in the house. In this case a high pressure mixer tap is the right choice. But there are exceptions.

Simply takes the pressure out of the situation

In certain homes, the hot water is supplied from a boiler or hot water storage tank. Then, a low pressure kitchen tap may be necessary to reduce the water pressure from the mains before the water flows into the boiler for heating. A boiler cannot withstand the water pressure from a conventional high pressure mixer tap – unless it’s a special high pressure boiler. Low water pressure kitchen mixer taps look no different to any others. Take a look for yourself right here.
