Warranty Conditions

Schock GmbH, Hofbauerstraße 1, 94209 Regen/Bavaria, Germany, registered in the commercial register of the Local Court of Deggendorf under HR B 2950 (hereinafter referred to as “SCHOCK”), grants consumers a durability warranty in addition to and on top of the seller's liability for defects, subject to the conditions and to the extent described below.

This warranty exists in addition to the consumer's statutory rights in respect of defects against the seller and does not restrict those rights. Exercising these statutory rights is free of charge for the consumer.

  1. The warranty period is 2 years, calculated from the time the product is handed over to the buyer (date of purchase).

  2. As the manufacturer, SCHOCK warrants, for a limited period of time, the faultless functioning of properly used SCHOCK sinks and SCHOCK taps.

SCHOCK warrants to consumers that SCHOCK sinks are free from defects in material, manufacture and design. The decisive benchmark is the state of science and technology at the time of manufacture.

  3. If a defect in material, manufacture and/or design occurs within the warranty period, Schock GmbH will, at its own discretion, either repair the defective product free of charge or supply a replacement. SCHOCK reserves the right to provide a technically updated product of equivalent value as a replacement if the original model is no longer available.

  4. These warranty conditions apply to SCHOCK sinks and SCHOCK taps purchased and used by end consumers in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic or the Slovak Republic. The warranty is granted to the original purchaser.

  5. The warranty covers freedom from defects in the functioning as well as in the materials/surfaces of SCHOCK sinks and SCHOCK taps (leaking/dripping taps; in the case of a spray head: the diverter function; mixer lever drops or does not hold its position; surface defects or paint flaking on the tap; instability of the tap).

  6. A repair or replacement delivery continues the original warranty period; it does not start a new warranty period.

Liability

Costs incurred by the beneficiary of the warranty for expenses, postage, installation, removal and transport are not reimbursed. Business interruption losses, loss of profit and consequential damage, as well as other indirect damage, which are based on a defect in SCHOCK products or arise in connection with their use, are not covered by this warranty.

The above limitations of liability do not affect liability for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, for damage due to an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty, or liability under the German Product Liability Act. Product liability claims exist in accordance with the mandatory statutory provisions.

If the defect can be remedied, this will be carried out by SCHOCK or by a partner selected by SCHOCK using the necessary means. The defect will be remedied without any further possibility of a price reduction or other compensation.

Transport costs and transport risks are not assumed by SCHOCK.

A warranty claim only exists upon presentation of the SCHOCK sink or tap together with proof that the functional defect occurred within the warranty period.
